I purchased an iPad two 16gb wifi only and it came with a a single year producers warranty. What does this cover? I heard it only covers defects in the device but not a Cracked screen or something
Like that. Don't be concerned my iPad is Perfectly fine but I am thinking about jail breaking it and if the only thing that the warranty covers is defects in the device then I almost certainly will. Again the question is "What does the 1 year manufacturers warranty cover on the iPad 2?" Thanks !

You are correct, it only covers manufacturing defects (h/w and s/w).
a Cracked screen occurs due to user's fault - so no coverage.
Jailbraking violates the warranty as properly so you can not ask for s/w associated support either (say, your screen freezes or you cannot connect it to a Computer.)
