by that i mean if i have a verizon android phone like the droid, will it have the exact same apps and app shop as the g1 on tmobile? or are they seperate app retailers?

no they all have the exact same. thats why android rocks since its open improvement so anybody can make any app and it doesnt have to go some rediculous test like apples do.
